About The Role
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Manager – Maintenance to lead and oversee maintenance operations in our FMCG/pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical or industrial engineering background, hands-on experience in maintenance and reliability practices, and a solid understanding of capital projects and equipment upgrades.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for production and utility equipment to ensure high asset availability and efficiency.
  • Plan and execute maintenance strategies aligned with safety, quality, and compliance standards (GMP/HSE).
  • Supervise a team of technicians and contractors; ensure proper skill development, safety, and performance.
  • Monitor equipment performance using KPIs such as OEE, MTTR, and MTBF; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets (O&M), spare parts inventory, and vendor contracts.
  • Participate in planning and execution of CAPEX projects, including equipment installation, commissioning, and validation.
  • Ensure timely documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements (internal audits, GMP, safety protocols, etc.).
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support cross-functional initiatives and efficiency projects.

The experience we're looking for

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience: 5–7 years of hands-on maintenance experience in FMCG or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Proven experience in managing maintenance teams, utilities, and engineering stores.
  • Familiarity with CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., SAP PM), spare parts optimization, and asset reliability concepts.
  • Understanding of CAPEX budgeting, planning, and execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety and GMP compliance is essential.

The skills for success

  • Certification in TPM, Six Sigma, or Reliability Engineering.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing and energy efficiency projects.
  • Working knowledge of utilities like HVAC, compressed air, boilers, WTP, and RO systems.
