Accountant & Recovery Officer.

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Accountant & Recovery Officer to join our team for a real estate project. This is a dual-role position where the ideal candidate will handle both accounting functions and target-driven debt recovery. The candidate must have at least 5 years of relevant experience be proficient in accounting software, and have a strong track record in financial management and recovery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records for the real estate project.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and internal accounts.
  • Prepare tax reports and assist with audits.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide regular reports to management.
  • Recovery Responsibilities:
  • Manage overdue accounts and ensure timely collections of outstanding payments.
  • Develop and execute effective strategies for debt recovery, meeting recovery targets.
  • Communicate directly with clients to negotiate payment terms, resolve disputes, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of recovery efforts and all communications with clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards in the recovery process.
  • Report on recovery progress, track performance against targets, and adjust strategies as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or higher).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in both accounting and debt recovery, ideally within the real estate sector.
  • Skills:
  • Expertise in managing both financial accounting and debt recovery processes.
  • Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing.
  • Solid understanding of debt recovery strategies, negotiation, and client communication.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to handle sensitive recovery issues.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet both accounting and recovery targets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Knowledge of the real estate industry's financial and recovery processes is a plus.
