Position Title: English Instructor – O Levels (Outgoing Batch)

Position Overview

The English Instructor for O Levels is responsible for delivering engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) curriculum. The instructor will foster analytical, linguistic, and creative skills while preparing students for CAIE examinations in English Language and Literature.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons in accordance with the O Level English curriculum.
  • Teach English Language and Literature (to relevant O Level classes).
  • Develop students' reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and analytical skills.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for CAIE components — Reading, Directed Writing, Composition, and Literature Paper.
  • Assess, grade, and record students' progress regularly, maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and discussion.
  • Use innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance learning.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and academic coordinators to ensure curriculum consistency and quality.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress when required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching O Level or IGCSE English.
  • In-depth understanding of CAIE syllabus.
  • Excellent command over written and spoken English.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in modern teaching tools and digital platforms.
  • A positive, student-centered approach to education.

  • Experience in conducting mock examinations and marking according to CAIE standards.
  • Creative and resourceful lesson planner.
  • Team player with a professional attitude and growth mindset.
