Job Purpose:

We are looking for a skilled
Manager Taxation
to join our client's team in Lahore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all direct and indirect tax laws in Pakistan, managing audits and assessments, and providing strategic tax planning to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of all direct and indirect taxes (Income Tax, Sales Tax, Withholding Tax, etc.).
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with evolving tax laws, notifications, and circulars issued by FBR and provincial authorities.
  • Maintain proper documentation and tax records for audits and assessments.

Tax Audits & Litigation

  • Represent the company before tax authorities during audits, assessments, and hearings.
  • Coordinate with external tax consultants and legal advisors for litigation cases.
  • Respond to tax notices, inquiries, and resolve disputes effectively.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with FBR, PRA, SRB, KPRA, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinate with statutory auditors and external consultants for tax-related matters.
  • Update senior management on tax risks, exposures, and potential savings.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Preferred:
    LL.B
    or equivalent professional qualification.
  • 6–10 years
    of progressive tax experience.
  • Strong knowledge of
    Pakistani tax laws, Income Tax Ordinance, Sales Tax Act, and provincial laws.
  • Hands-on experience in
    tax audits, assessments, and litigation.
  • Proficiency in
    MS Excel
    and
    tax filing portals.
