We are seeking a skilled and motivated
IT Security Specialist
with a strong background in application and network security. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in securing enterprise systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing industry best practices to safeguard organizational assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct security assessments of applications, networks, and systems to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
  • Apply industry-standard security practices such as
    OWASP guidelines
    and ensure applications are protected against threats like
    cross-site scripting (XSS), SQL injection, and other common exploits
    .
  • Perform penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and ethical hacking using industry-leading tools and methodologies (e.g., dictionary attacks, white-hat testing techniques).
  • Design, configure, and monitor
    network security controls
    including firewalls, VLANs, DMZs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control policies.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Document findings, prepare risk assessment reports, and recommend remediation strategies to stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with emerging security threats, tools, and technologies.
  • Support audits, compliance initiatives, and organizational security policies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
    .
  • Minimum
    3 years of professional experience in IT Security
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    application security standards
    (OWASP, WAFs) and common vulnerabilities.
  • Proficiency with
    security testing tools
    and penetration testing methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of
    network security concepts
    (firewalls, VLANs, DMZs, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Experience with Oracle Applications security
    is a strong plus.
