Position: Accountant

Location: EME SOCIETY

Department: Finance/Accounts

Reports To: Finance Manager/Chief Financial Officer

Job Summary:

The accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing financial records, performing financial reporting, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and government regulations. They will handle a range of accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, tax filings, financial analysis, and budget management.

Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  2. Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions. Post transactions to accounting software and reconcile accounts.

  3. Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local laws. Ensure timely submission of Sales Tax, income tax, and other regulatory requirements.

  4. Auditing: Coordinate internal and external audits. Ensure the implementation of audit recommendations.

  5. Payroll Management: Process payroll, calculate wages, bonuses, and deductions' Ensure compliance with labor laws regarding salary payments.

  6. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to support decision-making. Identify trends and provide financial forecasts to the management.

  7. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all financial practices are compliant with statutory regulations.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

* Experience: 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.

* Technical Skills: Proficiency in customized accounting software. (ERP)

* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

* Communication Skills: Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non- financial stakeholders.
