Job Overview:
The Staff Nurse will be responsible for delivering prompt and effective nursing care to patients in emergency and urgent care areas. This includes conducting initial assessments, performing key nursing procedures, and supporting medical teams in stabilizing patients. The role demands clinical competence, attention to detail, and the ability to respond efficiently in time-sensitive situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform urgent patient assessments and triage based on severity.
- Apply and manage POP (Plaster of Paris) casts as required.
- Insert IV cannulas and administer IV fluids and medications.
- Carry out wound dressing and other clinical nursing procedures.
- Conduct ECGs and interpret basic readings.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and hospital protocols.
- Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions promptly.
- Assist in emergency resuscitation procedures as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: BS Nursing Or Diploma in General Nursing with Intermediate education.
- Certification: Valid registration with Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience as Staff Nurse.
Key Competencies:
- Proficient in POP application, IV insertion, wound dressing, ECG, and emergency assessment.
- Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
