JOB TITLE: Implementation Engineer (Industrial Automation)

DEPARTMENT: Engineering / Software Development

PURPOSE:

To design, implement, and optimize industrial automation systems by integrating PLCs, sensors, and IIoT solutions for enhanced data acquisition and operational efficiency. The role involves hands-on implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automation processes to support digital transformation initiatives aligned with Industry 4.0 standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute end-to-end implementation of automation systems, including PLC data extraction, sensor integration, data acquisition, and system configuration.
  • Define hardware and software requirements for industrial automation projects as per customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project implementation, applying analytical and problem-solving techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and develop customized automation solutions.
  • Provide training and technical support to end-users and maintenance teams for customized cloud-based platforms.
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) to ensure seamless deployment and integration.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies in automation, PLCs, IIoT, AI, and cloud applications to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and manufacturing environments.
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), PLCs, Data Acquisition, and Automation Systems.
  • Network fundamentals, Industrial protocols, FAT/SAT, Projects, AI, and Cloud Applications.
  • Proficient in PLC programming languages (ladder logic, structured text).
  • Experience with SCADA and HMI systems.
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT).
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and energy efficiency metrics.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
