We are looking for a
senior Backend & AWS Cloud Consultant

to join our team on a
part-time consultancy basis

. This role is not limited to one product — you'll work across
multiple iLabs SaaS initiatives

(e.g., accounting, finance, and business automation platforms), guiding backend best practices, cloud architecture, and scaling strategies.

Role & Responsibilities

As a
Backend & AWS Cloud Consultant at iLabs

, you will:

  • Review, guide, and optimize backend architectures

, microservices, APIs, databases) across projects.
- Design and oversee AWS cloud infrastructure

for multi-tenant SaaS deployments.
- Implement
best practices for security, compliance, and scalability

(IAM, VPCs, KMS, encryption, auto-scaling).
- Provide
technical leadership

and mentor backend developers.
- Set up and maintain
CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automated deployments

.
- Optimize AWS usage for
cost-effectiveness and performance

.
- Support integration of
advanced AWS services

(Aurora Serverless, SageMaker, Textract, DynamoDB).
- Act as a
strategic advisor

on backend and cloud scaling for current and future products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in
    backend development and AWS architecture

.
- Strong expertise with
AWS services

(Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora Serverless, DynamoDB, ECS/Fargate, S3, Cognito, CloudFront, etc.).
- Experience designing and deploying
multi-tenant SaaS platforms

.
- Hands-on with
SQL & NoSQL database design

for complex systems (finance/accounting experience is a plus).
- Experience with
DevOps practices

(CI/CD, Terraform/CloudFormation, monitoring).
- Background in
finance or enterprise SaaS platforms

is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and mentoring skills — able to
guide junior devs

and
align with product teams

.

Engagement

  • Part-time / Consultancy

(approx. 10–15 hrs/week).
- Remote, flexible working hours.
- Engagement on a
monthly retainer or hourly basis
