Reports To: Admin Manager / Head of Operations

Job Purpose:

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required by the company. The role ensures cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of all supplies in line with company policies and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to meet project and operational needs.
  • Identify and evaluate reliable vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Negotiate contracts, prices, and payment terms to secure the best deals.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation for audit and compliance.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Maintain updated supplier and material databases.
  • Coordinate with the finance department for timely payments.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.
  • Track inventory levels and coordinate with store and project teams for replenishment.
  • Handle emergency purchases efficiently without compromising quality.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site teams to forecast material requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of sourcing, market analysis, and procurement documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ERP or procurement management software.
  • Understanding of construction materials, suppliers, and local market trends.
  • Strong analytical and cost management mindset.
