For an international project, we are urgently looking for a Full Remote (Senior) Senior Data modeler with 8 years of hands on experience in Enterprise Data modeling & hands on experience in cloud technologies preferably Azure technologies.

We are looking for a motivated contractor. Candidates need to be fluent in English.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Working experience in Cloud Technologies (preferably Azure) in Data movement and analysis;
  • Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business requirements, ensuring scalability, performance, and adherence to best practices;
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and database technologies, including relational databases and data warehousing solutions;
  • Document Low Level Design, Unit Testing Plan, and Unit Test case documentation;
  • Collaborate with development teams to design, develop, review, and test data models and related components. Perform bug fixes and ensure the integrity of the data model throughout the development lifecycle;
  • Assist in integration testing to validate the compatibility of data models with other system components and applications;
  • Perform code optimization for data-related processes and strictly adhere to organizational coding standards and best practices;
  • Assist in any documentation or any artifacts needed for OIS clearance;
  • Participate in SCRUM meeting work closely with onsite and offshore team;
  • Perform timely resolution of issues and root cause analysis of each issue;
  • Proactively manage your own work queue, time, and expectations, meet deadlines, and communicate needs and tradeoffs if your schedule is in jeopardy;

Profile:

  • Bachelor or Master degree;
  • 8 years of relevant experience in data modeling, including expertise in designing and implementing logical and physical data models using tools such as Erwin Data Modeler or equivalent;
  • 5 yrs experience of working in Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory and a virtualization tool like Dremio;
  • Hands-on experience in managing and processing large volumes of data, with a strong understanding of data structures, indexing, and optimization techniques;
  • Proven track record of performance tuning for data models, queries, and related processes to ensure optimal system performance and scalability;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to articulate to all project members and stakeholders;
  • Team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources;
  • Must be organized and good at managing deliverables, meeting notes, presentations, and other documentation/communications;
  • Fluent in English;
