Data Migration Consultant – Oracle Utilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Migration Consultant to support a large-scale Oracle Utilities implementation involving Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CCB) and Oracle Work and Asset Management (WAM). The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in data migration, ETL processes, and SQL/PLSQL/T-SQL, with a passion for data accuracy and transformation.

While prior experience with Oracle Utilities (CCB/WAM) is highly desirable, it's not mandatory — we provide full product training for candidates with a solid ETL and data migration foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or support end-to-end data migration efforts from legacy systems to Oracle CCB and WAM.
  • Analyze source and target data structures to define and document mapping, transformation, and cleansing logic.
  • Develop and execute ETL routines using tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, or custom scripts.
  • Write advanced SQL, PLSQL, and T-SQL for data manipulation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Conduct data profiling, cleansing, testing, and reconciliation to ensure high data quality.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure alignment with data migration requirements.
  • Support data migration activities during test phases and go-live cutover.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data migration and ETL development for enterprise applications.
  • Strong experience with SQL/PLSQL (Oracle)
  • ETL tools like Informatica, ODI
  • Experience handling large datasets and complex data models.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications: (Not Mandatory)

  • Experience in Oracle Utilities products such as: Oracle CCB, Oracle WAM and Oracle MDM
  • Familiarity with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF).
  • Utility industry experience (energy, water, gas) is a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments.
