About the Role

We are seeking a WordPress Developer who can confidently handle both frontend and backend work—someone who can jump in and manage custom development, theme building, and plugin customization without needing step-by-step guidance. If you're comfortable turning complex requirements into smooth, scalable solutions, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Custom Theme Development: Build and maintain fully custom themes (not just page builders).
  • Plugin Development & Customization: Create and extend plugins to meet specific business needs.
  • WooCommerce Expertise: Implement and customize product catalogs, and checkout flows.
  • Advanced Custom Fields (ACF): Map, configure, and integrate ACF fields into dynamic templates.
  • Database & Performance: Handle large product catalogs (thousands of SKUs), optimize queries, and ensure scalable performance.
  • Frontend Development: Write clean, responsive, and optimized HTML/CSS/JavaScript; integrate animations (GSAP/jQuery).
  • API Integrations: Connect third-party services (REST APIs, booking systems, CRMs like GoHighLevel).
  • Troubleshooting & Debugging: Resolve issues with plugins, themes, AJAX, or server-level errors.
  • Version Control & Collaboration: Use Git, staging environments, and structured workflows.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in WordPress custom theme and plugin development (beyond page builders).
  • Strong skills in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS.
  • Familiarity with WooCommerce, ACF, and CPT UI.
  • Understanding of website performance optimization, caching, and scalability.
  • Experience with responsive, cross-browser UI/UX.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems quickly, and deliver on deadlines.
  • Experience with US-based clients and fluent English communication.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with GSAP animations and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Knowledge of server management.
