Systems Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Systems Engineer
with strong expertise in
Linux environments
, infrastructure management, and system optimization. The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our systems and infrastructure while contributing to continuous improvements and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, configure, and optimize
    Linux-based systems
    in production and development environments.
  • Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, patching, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability.
  • Administer servers, storage, and virtualized environments (VMware, KVM, or similar).
  • Implement and maintain security best practices across servers and networks.
  • Manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Network, and Development teams for system enhancements and deployments.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and architecture diagrams.
  • Support automation efforts using scripting languages (Shell scripting, Python, Bash, etc.).
  • Provide guidance and support for system-related issues and escalations.
  • Participate in capacity planning, infrastructure scaling, and performance improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
    in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience
    as a Systems Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong command over
    Linux OS (CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat, etc.)
    —administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM, Hyper-V).
  • Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in scripting for automation (Bash, Python, Shell scripting).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools, containers (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
