Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited, the subsidiary company of Al-Futtaim group of Dubai, is a story of rollicking success. With consistent corporate achievements, the company is recognized for corporate excellence and "Best Corporate Performance".

With its Corporate office in Lahore, the AGTL plant at Dera Ghazi Khan, manufactures New Holland (Fiat) tractors in technical collaboration with CNHI - Case New Holland, the Number One manufacturer of agricultural tractors in the world. What you will do?

Purpose

This role will be responsible for assisting Senior Manager-Taxation in executing tax projects, tax planning and tax risk management for Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited (part of Al-Futtaim Group) as well as assisting the Group Tax Team in managing tax compliance (direct and indirect tax). It includes managing the Tax Operating Model which involves working with tax community members and taking ownership of tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax accounting and tax documentation as well as coordinating with government agencies for expeditious settlement of tax refunds.

This role will primarily be responsible for various filing to Government Authorities and follow-ups therein.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute Group Tax strategy by ensuring timely preparation and submission of all Group deliverables, including audit trackers, compliance registers, withholding registers, and risk/opportunity updates.
• Coordinate with Group Tax and internal functions to implement directives, attend all Group Tax meetings, and ensure accurate submissions to tax authorities.
• Manage complete statutory tax filings (federal & provincial), including monthly income tax workings, annual corporate tax returns, quarterly/annual withholding statements, employee statements, and weekly/monthly withholding tax payments.
• Identify and execute tax planning and optimization opportunities while mitigating risks through updated tax knowledge, seminars, and coordination on new contracts.
• Manage complete sales tax refund cycle, including filing monthly claims, submitting supporting documents, and coordinating with government bodies to resolve procedural issues.
• Support tax audits by preparing documentation, coordinating with tax consultants/lawyers, drafting responses to authorities, and ensuring timely lodgement of appeals.
• Perform monthly reporting and balance sheet reviews, including GL health checks, current/deferred tax workings, provisions, and preparation of tax-related audit schedules.

Education:

• Masters in Finance/ACCA/ CMA (Finalist)

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:

• 11+ years' experience in Finance (Taxation)

• Tax technical skills and tax accounting;
• General Accounting skills;
• Project management skills;
• Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills; and
• Analysis and troubleshooting.
