Job Description
- Nurse is a vital member of the healthcare team responsible for overseeing and coordinating the nursing staff and patient care within a healthcare facility. Their primary role is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the nursing department while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Supervision:
· Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, including Daycare Assistant and Triage Staff.
· Supervise daily nursing operations and activities, ensuring adherence to established protocols and policies.
2. Quality Assurance:
· Monitor and maintain high standards of nursing care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
· Conduct regular quality audits and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
3. Conflict Resolution:
· Address and resolve conflicts or issues within the nursing team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
4. Communication and Collaboration:
· Foster effective communication between nursing staff, other healthcare professionals, and administrative departments within ZMT clinic and with line management.
· Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
5. Staff Development:
· Reinforce nursing staff development on skills and knowledge.
· Identify needs of staff development within the healthcare facility.
6. Basic Wound Care:
· Perform wound care and dressing changes as directed by the healthcare providers.
7. Specimen Collection and Processing:
· Collect and processes various types of patient specimens (Urine etc.) for lab testing.
8. Phlebotomy and Injectable Support:
· Perform basic phlebotomy procedures (drawing blood samples) as required.
· Perform with injectable therapy.
9. Observation and Reporting:
· Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behaviour to the healthcare team.
· Generate Incidence report, as per ZMT protocol, and share with line management.
10. Patient Education:
· Assist in providing basic education to patients and the families regarding care, and procedures.
11. Comfort and Emotional Support:
· Offer emotional support and companionship to patients.
· Provide reassurance and comfort to patients and their families.
12. Infection Control:
· Follow proper infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections within the healthcare setting.
13. Documentation:
· Conduct thorough and accurate assessments of patients, including observing and reporting any changes in their condition.
· Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
14. Follow Institutional Guidelines:
· Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines given by ZMT leaderships.
15. Additional Responsibilities:
· Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by line management to support the efficient operation of the healthcare facility and ensure the well-being of patients.
Education :
Registered Nurse with valid PNC
Age :
Maximum 40 years
Experience :
3 to 5 Years
