About the Role

An accountancy firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeper / Accounts Associate to join our growing team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone starting their career in finance to gain hands-on experience with a variety of clients and industries.

Job Requirements

  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Maintain accurate financial records using cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Process invoices, perform bank reconciliations, and handle expense claims.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns under the supervision of a qualified professional.
  • Organize and upload receipts and documents via digital tools (e.g., Dext, AutoEntry).
  • Maintain accurate and timely data entry and orderly records.
  • Communicate with clients to request information or resolve queries.
  • Collaborate with senior bookkeepers and accountants on year-end and management reporting.
  • Keep up to date with basic accounting and VAT rules through training.

  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets).

  • Positive attitude and ambition to build a career in accountancy.

Desirable (Not Mandatory):

  • 1+ year experience in a bookkeeping role with cloud accounting.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks).
  • Basic educational background in accounting/finance.

Pay: Rs50, Rs60,000.00 per month
