Position Overview

The Finance Business Partner will play a strategic role in driving financial performance, supporting decision-making, and ensuring strong financial controls for the E-Commerce business. This role requires an analytical professional who can work closely with senior leadership, provide insights on profitability, manage audits, ensure compliance, and lead budgeting and forecasting cycles.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Compliance

  • Prepare, finalize, and present monthly Profit & Loss statements.
  • Ensure compliance with PRA, FBR, WHT, salary taxes, and rental CPR requirements.
  • Coordinate and cross-check payroll data with HR and lead payroll processing.
  • Provide supervision, training, and development planning for the finance team.
  • Ensure adherence to IFRS and relevant auditing standards.

2. Audit & Internal Controls

  • Plan surprise warehouse inventory counts and present findings to management.
  • Coordinate interim and annual audits and assist external auditors with required documentation.
  • Support the establishment and strengthening of internal controls.

3. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Conduct brand-wise margin analysis and highlight profitability drivers.
  • Monitor and control budgets; prepare variance analysis and deviation reports.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and latest outlook submissions.
  • Provide commercial insights and financial recommendations to support strategic decisions.

4. Business Partnering

  • Act as a financial advisor to the COO and CEO on contracts, JBP agreements, and other legal/financial matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain) to support business decisions.
  • Prepare board presentations and manage additional agenda items as required by the Board.

5. Treasury & Cash Management

  • Manage cash flow planning and ensure efficient cash management for business operations.
  • Monitor working capital and ensure timely settlement of financial obligations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong command over financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Pakistan tax laws (PRA, FBR, WHT).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and financial modeling.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
