Website Developer and SEO Specialist

Job Purpose

We are currently seeking a proficient Website Developer and SEO Specialist to join our growing marketing team, working in our vibrant office in Islamabad. This is an exciting time to join the company and will ideally suit someone looking to gain B2B marketing experience and to grow within a fast-paced growing business.

Reporting into the Head of Digital Growth, the successful candidate will have experience in SEO and Technical SEO and will be the go-to expert for all technical aspects relating to the main website upkeep via Wordpress technology. The ideal candidate must also be proficient in SEO related matters, complementing our content and data specialists by providing insights and strategies to enhance our overall SEO campaign performance.

This role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is adept at cross-functional communication. This is a full-time office-based role at our offices in Islamabad. Due to the nature of our work environment, strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Lead technical website developer and must be willing to adapt to the changing landscape in order to maximise potential and engagement of the existing website.

The ideal candidate must be proficient in Wordpress and have exceptional skills in tools SEO initiatives, including site audits, schema markup, core web vitals and website performance.

Collaborate closely with the SEO Content Specialist and SEO Copywriter to ensure client websites are optimised to support content strategies.

Lead on AI tooling to drive development efficiencies and site performance including broken link management, internal site linking, to site speed performance improvements

Work with our Web and Analytics Specialist to analyse data and refine SEO tactics.

Assist with new business development and upsell technical strategies to existing clients.

Advise, train & collaborate with internal teams to push for SEO best practices.

Perform keyword research using various tools and monitor user engagement across the website.

Keep abreast of SEO, search engine, and other relevant industry trends, developments, algorithm and strategy updates.

Core Technical Proficiencies

To maintain and continuously improve a professional corporate website, the developer should ideally have strong skills in the following areas:

• Frontend Development
• Wordpress, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) – foundation of web development.
• Responsive design expertise (mobile-first, accessibility compliance).
• Frameworks/libraries such as React, , or Angular (for modern, interactive UI).
• Backend Development
• PHP (commonly used in WordPress, Joomla, Drupal) OR
• Database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).
• Knowledge of REST APIs / GraphQL for integrations.
• CMS Experience
• Strong skills with WordPress , including custom theme and plugin development.
• Familiarity with modern headless CMS options (e.g., Strapi, Contentful, Sanity)
• Web Infrastructure
• Hosting & server management (cPanel, VPS, or cloud providers like AWS, Azure).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (automated deployment and updates).

Essential Criteria

Experience working in Website development an SEO focused role.

WordPress Development: Experience Building and maintaining responsive websites using WordPress, including experience with page builders such as Elementor.

Front-End Development: Developed scalable and performant interfaces using and

Coding experience.

A self-starter approach, who can work independently and as part of a team.

Familiarity with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Screaming Frog & Ahrefs.

Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Knowledge of SEO tooling such as SEMRush or SEOClarity

Knowledge and experience working across various CMS platforms and frameworks such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and Magento.

In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices such as web core vitals, site schemas and meta data management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
