About the Role:

You'll join a frontend team working on a mature application. You'll be helping us write better code going forward while gradually improving what exists. This is a product role, not a project role. You'll be working on the same codebase long-term, which means your decisions compound—both good and bad. We need someone who writes maintainable code, not just working code.

What You'll Do:

  • Build new features independently from requirements to production
  • Maintain and improve existing features (workflows, custom dashboards, scheduling boards)
  • Fix bugs to keep the application stable for our engineering users
  • Collaborate with backend (Java), Python and AI teams to architect full-stack solutions
  • Work with complex visualization libraries (ECharts for dashboards, Cytoscape for workflows)
  • Write clean, maintainable code that reduces technical debt rather than adding to it

Technical Environment:

  • Frontend Stack: React 18, 14 (App Router), TypeScript with strict mode for new code, Tailwind CSS with custom design system and jQuery for some legacy code
  • Visualization: ECharts (including 3D visualizations), with plugins for workflow graphs, ReactFlow

What We're Looking For:

Must-haves

  • Deep understanding of React fundamentals—component lifecycle, hooks, re-rendering behavior, and performance optimization
  • Strong JavaScript knowledge including closures, execution context, async patterns, and modern ES6+ features
  • TypeScript proficiency with strict typing and type safety
  • Solid HTML and CSS fundamentals—semantic markup, CSS specificity, flexbox, grid, responsive design
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS or utility-first frameworks
  • Agentic AI
    Experience to accelerate development – You can work with AI Agents to accelerate delivery
  • Component design skills including composition, separation of concerns, and writing reusable code
  • Solid grasp of data structures and algorithms — you'll work with complex data visualizations

Nice-to-Have

  • Charting libraries (ECharts)
  • Graph visualization tools (Cytoscape)
  • Drag-and-drop libraries
  • WebSockets/real-time communication
  • Familiarity with engineering domains

  • Build new features without breaking existing ones in a mature, interconnected codebase
  • Write better code than what exists—raise the bar, don't match existing patterns
  • Work across teams (Design, Python, Java and QA) to deliver complete solutions
