Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our on-site development team in DHA Phase 2, Islamabad. In this role, you will ensure the quality, stability, and performance of our platform, which is powered by Django (backend) and (frontend). Your contributions will directly impact the user experience for thousands of students worldwide by maintaining a smooth, secure, and reliable system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications.
  • Validate and verify user-facing features built with and
  • Conduct backend and API testing for Django REST APIs.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira or Trello.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Perform regression, smoke, performance, and cross-browser testing.
  • Maintain test environments and ensure quality checkpoints in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Detect and report edge cases and usability issues proactively.
  • Contribute to QA documentation, process improvements, and testing best practices.

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in software testing or QA.
  • Solid understanding of frontend frameworks ) and RESTful APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Familiarity with Python-based backends, preferably Django.
  • Working knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
  • Experience using Git-based workflows and CI/CD tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
  • Understanding of authentication flow testing and third-party integrations.
  • Familiarity with test coverage reporting tools (e.g., Jest, Pytest-cov).
  • Exposure to educational technology or e-commerce platforms is a plus.
