Elite Financial Architects Only: Design the System That Powers Education's Future
You've mastered traditional finance leadership. Now engineer something that matters. At Trilogy, we're building revolutionary education businesses that require equally revolutionary financial infrastructure. This isn't about maintaining systems—it's about architecting them.
As Regional Financial Controller, you'll create the AI-native financial backbone that powers multiple high-growth education ventures. You'll replace bloated teams with elegant systems. Your financial architecture will directly impact how millions of students experience learning worldwide.
This role demands technical excellence, system-level thinking, and the ability to build financial infrastructure that scales exponentially without linear headcount growth. If you're ready to transform education finance through intelligent design, we're ready for you.
What You Will Be Doing
- Architect and implement an AI-first finance system that eliminates complexity while supporting rapid business growth
- Author decisive design documents that crystallize and scale critical finance workflows
- Deliver precise written feedback on Deep Dives and Improvement Plans that elevates both human and AI performance
- Drive high-impact decisions in strategic meetings focused on budgets, expansion initiatives, vendor negotiations, and compliance requirements
- Ensure flawless execution of core finance operations—tuition management, audits, tax filings—at scale with minimal overhead
What You Won't Be Doing
- Managing traditional finance hierarchies or large departmental headcounts
- Performing routine monthly close procedures or transaction approvals that should be automated
- Implementing standard ERP configurations without significant optimization
- Directing work without executing it—this role demands hands-on system building
- Operating within stable, predictable parameters—our environment demands rapid innovation and scaling
Regional Financial Controller Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and operate a lean, AI-powered financial infrastructure that enables multiple education businesses to scale exponentially while maintaining complete financial integrity and compliance.
Basic Requirements
- Professional finance qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or MBA)
- 10+ years in progressive finance leadership positions with demonstrable expansion of scope and responsibility
- Proven experience in senior finance leadership (SVP, CFO, or equivalent) with comprehensive ownership of all finance functions
- Expert-level command of US GAAP and integrated financial statement preparation
- Extensive experience optimizing and operating complex ERP systems in multi-entity organizations
- Track record of managing 5+ external audits with Big 4 firms, either as auditor or client
- Superior written and verbal English communication skills capable of influencing executive decision-making
- Location within UTC-8 to UTC+3 time zones
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Knowledge of U.S. K-12 education models and their financial structures (private, charter, ESA programs)
- Experience developing finance automation systems or AI-enhanced workflows from the ground up
- Demonstrated success managing finance operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions
