Computer Operator (English/Urdu Composing) — Job Description

Location: Lahore , Punjab Society Ghazi Road

· Employment type: Full-time

Seniority: Junior to Mid-level

We're hiring a hands-on Computer Operator who can produce accurate English and Urdu documents, manage bookkeeping tasks, and handle income tax and sales tax return preparation and follow-ups with relevant authorities.

What you'll do

  • Compose, format and proofread letters, notices, invoices and official documents in English and Urdu.
  • Enter and maintain financial data: sales, purchases, receipts, payments, ledgers and journals.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly sales tax and income tax return drafts; gather supporting schedules and attachments.
  • Liaise with tax authorities, auditors and service providers to submit returns, respond to notices, and track refunds or liabilities.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and basic account reconciliations.
  • Use accounting software and MS Excel to generate reports (trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, VAT/Sales tax reports).
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing of accounts, tax records and correspondence.
  • Support senior accountants with ad-hoc reporting and document requests.

Minimum requirements

  • 1–4 years experience in a similar role (accounts + computer/data work).
  • Strong ability to compose formal documents in both English and Urdu (typing and formatting).
  • Practical knowledge of income tax and sales/VAT filing processes and documentation.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel strong), and at least one accounting package (Tally, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
  • Accurate typing and strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow up with external authorities.
  • Minimum education: Intermediate with commerce background OR Diploma in Computer/Accounts; relevant certifications a plus.

Preferred

  • Experience filing with national or provincial tax authorities (experience with FBR or local revenue bodies is an advantage).
  • Familiarity with payroll basics and statutory deductions.
  • Ability to draft replies to official notices in English/Urdu.
