Chiller Operator

Responsible for safe and efficient operation of Chillers, Cooling Tower, Condenser and chilled water pumps, during shifts, to maintain trouble-free air-conditioning services in the buildings.

Specifically, you will be responsible to:

• Safe and efficient operation of chillers and other associated equipment's to maintain trouble free service for buildings air conditioning
• Safe and efficient operation of Cooling towers and its auxiliaries for efficient performance of chillers.
• Monitor and perform maintenance of Chillers and associated equipment's under the guidance of Engineer to prevent breakdown.
• Monitor and perform maintenance of cooling towers and associated equipment under the guidance of Engineer to prevent breakdown.
• Monitor and perform maintenance of Pumps under the guidance of Engineer to prevent breakdown.
• Monitor and maintain Chemical Dosing of Condenser water to prevent rusting, scaling and fouling in piping etc.
• Ensure housekeeping of Plant room and Cooling Tower to maintain neat and tidy environment for equipment.
• Record of all required parameters for chillers and other associated equipment in the logbook to maintain operational history of equipment.
• Safeties to be followed.Any other related task as assigned by Engineer.

• Secondary school; matric preferred.
• Certificate in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning, Diploma preferred
• 8 – 10 years of related work experience
• Knowledge of Vapor evaporation cycle and practical Experience on Electrical centrifugal chillers.
• Knowledge of Absorption Cycle and practical experience absorption chillers.
• Knowledge of cooling towers and its operation.
• Knowledge of chemical treatment of water.
• Ability to trouble shoot breakdowns or operational problems with chillers and associated equipment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform as a Team player.
• Ability to understand and write simple English and Urdu.
• Extensive knowledge about plant preventive maintenance system.
