We're looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to own day-to-day financial operations for our Hyderabad plant. You'll maintain accurate books, support costing and inventory valuation, and help scale our finance workflows as production grows. Experience in manufacturing accounting and Odoo ERP is a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain/update ledgers, journals and the general ledger
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely supplier payments and customer collections
  • Reconcile bank statements, petty cash and monitor daily cash flow
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycles
  • Track production costs; coordinate with production for inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS) reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and support tax filings (GST/Sales tax, WHT)
  • Support external audits and provide documentation as requested
  • Improve and document accounting workflows, controls, and SOPs
  • Data entry / configuration tasks in Odoo ERP (invoicing, purchase & sales journals, inventory journal entries)

Required qualifications & skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 2+ years accounting experience — preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas)
  • Solid bookkeeping knowledge and understanding of inventory accounting / cost flows (FIFO, Weighted Avg)
  • Good communication skills in English/Urdu; ability to coordinate with procurement, production and management

Preferred (nice-to-have)

  • Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP (Accounting, Inventory, Purchase, Manufacturing modules)
  • Part-qualified or qualified ACCA/CA/CMA candidates or equivalent certification
  • Experience preparing management reports and dashboards for leadership
  • Familiarity with local tax filing and compliance procedures in Pakistan
