Job Purpose:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely tax compliance, and conducting bank reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. The role supports internal controls, audit processes, and the overall financial health of KeH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record daily financial transactions in accounting software.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper coding of all transactions.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Perform 
    monthly bank reconciliations
     for all bank accounts.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.
  • Monitor cash flows and forecast bank positions.
  • Coordinate with banks for any issues related to transactions or charges.
  • Prepare and file 
    monthly sales tax returns
     (if applicable).
  • Withhold and deposit 
    income tax on salaries, vendor payments, and other services
     as per statutory regulations.
  • Generate and maintain records for 
    Withholding Tax Certificates (WHT)
    .
  • Ensure accurate documentation and filing of all tax-related payments.
  • File quarterly 
    income tax withholding statements
     (e.g., 149/165/others under local regulations).
  • Reconcile tax ledger with actual deductions and deposits.
  • Prepare tax provision reports for quarterly management review.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of the 
    annual income tax return
    .
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants during annual tax audits.
  • Prepare 
    annual tax statements
     for employees, vendors, and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with 
    regulatory deadlines and documentation
    .
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax laws and their financial implications.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual 
    financial closing activities
    .
  • Generate financial reports for internal use and external audits.
  • Prepare management reports such as 
    expense analysis, cost centre reports, and profitability reviews
    .
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documents and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain organised records for easy retrieval and audit trail purposes.
  • Liaise with vendors, tax consultants, and banks as needed.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Handle petty cash transactions and reporting.
  • Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's /ACCA/CMA Part Qualified preferred).
  • Minimum 
    2-4 years
     of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of 
    local taxation laws
    , 
    financial regulations
    , and 
    banking procedures
    .
  • Proficiency in 
    accounting software
     (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Excel.

  • Analytical thinking and financial acumen
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of tax returns and statutory filings

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday with two alternate Saturdays, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (adjustable based on company policy)
