Job Purpose

To deliver high-quality physics education to higher secondary students, ensuring they develop strong conceptual understanding, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills in alignment with the Karachi Board curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Instruction

  • Teach Physics (theory and practicals) to Grade XI–XII students as per Karachi Board syllabus.
  • Deliver lectures on Mechanics, Waves, Thermodynamics, Optics, Electricity, Magnetism, Electronics, and Modern Physics.
  • Prepare lesson plans, lecture notes, and learning resources according to curriculum requirements.

2. Laboratory Work

  • Conduct and supervise physics practicals in the laboratory as per Board requirements.
  • Ensure proper use and safety of laboratory equipment.
  • Train students in experiment recording, observation, and scientific reporting.

3. Assessment & Evaluation

  • Design, administer, and grade tests, assignments, and examinations according to Board standards.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to improve academic performance.
  • Prepare students for Karachi Board internal/external examinations.

4. Academic Development

  • Stay updated with changes in physics curriculum and exam patterns.
  • Integrate real-life applications and technology to make learning engaging.
  • Encourage problem-solving, logical reasoning, and application-based learning.

5. Student Support & Development

  • Provide additional academic support through remedial classes and extra coaching where needed.
  • Mentor students interested in pursuing careers in science and engineering fields.
  • Promote participation in science fairs, quizzes, and competitions.

6. Professional & Administrative Duties

  • Maintain proper attendance, academic records, and student progress reports.
  • Participate in staff meetings, departmental planning, and curriculum development activities.
  • Comply with school policies, examination rules, and academic regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:
  • Master's degree in Physics (M.Sc. Physics) or equivalent qualification.
  • B.Ed. / M.Ed. preferred for teaching methodology background.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 2–3 years teaching Physics at Higher Secondary (XI–XII) or equivalent level.
  • Experience in preparing students for Karachi Board examinations preferred.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
  • Strong command of Physics concepts, theories, and laboratory practices.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for student understanding.
  • Effective classroom management and student engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with Board exam marking schemes and assessment techniques.
  • Proficiency in using ICT tools, simulations, and digital resources for teaching.
