About the Role

night shifts aligned with U.S. Central Time (7 PM – 4 AM PKT)

We are seeking a
Medical Scribe
to support U.S.-based psychiatry and behavioral health providers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for real-time documentation of patient encounters, assisting providers with administrative tasks, and ensuring accurate and timely entry of medical records. This role requires strong medical terminology knowledge, excellent English communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in real time during virtual or in-person consultations with psychiatry and behavioral health providers.
• Accurately record medical histories, symptoms, assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
• Enter and update data in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Ensure proper use of medical and psychiatric terminology, including diagnoses and medications.
• Assist providers in completing documentation, referrals, and orders promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Identify incomplete or unclear documentation and proactively follow up for clarification.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth documentation workflows.

Requirements

• Intermediate/A-levels or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Pre-Med, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration).
• 1–3 years of experience as a medical scribe, transcriptionist, or similar role (U.S. healthcare preferred).
• Availability to work night shifts (7 PM – 4 AM PKT).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in psychiatry and behavioral health.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
• Excellent English communication and listening skills.
• Fast and accurate typing speed with strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality protocols.
