Takmeel Square is seeking a meticulous and reliable
Accounts Payable Officer
to join our Finance team in Bahawalpur. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all payments to vendors, suppliers, and contractors. This role is essential for maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting the financial integrity of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests with exceptional accuracy.
- Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and goods receipt notes to verify transactions.
- Prepare payment vouchers and execute payments through cheques and online banking platforms.
- Maintain and update the accounts payable ledger and all related financial records.
- Reconcile vendor statements on a monthly basis and promptly resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Liaise with vendors and internal departments (Procurement, Project Management) to address payment-related queries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and withholding tax regulations.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and support internal and external audits as required.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 3-5 years
of proven experience in an accounts payable or general accounting role. - Experience in the
real estate, construction, or manufacturing industry
is highly preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce (B.Com/BBA), or a related field.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in accounting software or ERP systems and strong skills in
MS Excel
. - Solid understanding of accounting principles and the procure-to-pay cycle.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Integrity and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Good communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal teams.
