We are seeking an experienced and dynamic JavaScript Full Stack Developer to join us as a short-term Course Instructor and Facilitator for our upcoming cohort.

Role Summary:

The primary role of the Instructor is to facilitate and enhance the learning experience for trainees enrolled in the IBM Full Stack JavaScript Developer Professional Certificate
on Coursera. You will be the key link between the online curriculum and the trainees, providing in-person explanations, leading practical coding exercises, resolving doubts, and guiding projects. Your expertise will bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, ensuring trainees are job-ready upon completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Classroom Instruction & Facilitation:
  Conduct engaging and effective in-person classroom sessions between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM, focusing on the core concepts covered in the online modules.
• Doubt Resolution:
  Provide clear explanations and troubleshoot trainee queries related to the course content, including JavaScript, , React, DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native concepts.
• Hands-On Labs & Code-Alongs:
  Lead live coding sessions, demonstrate best practices, and guide trainees through hands-on labs and projects to reinforce learning.
• Project Guidance:
  Mentor and assist trainees in understanding, developing, and completing the capstone projects required for the certificate, offering code reviews and architectural advice.
• Curriculum Support:
  Supplement the Coursera material with additional examples, real-world scenarios, and industry insights to provide context and depth to the learning.
• Progress Monitoring:
  Track trainee progress through the online platform, identify individuals who are falling behind, and provide additional support to ensure cohort success.
• Feedback & Assessment:
  Administer in-class quizzes or assignments to gauge understanding and provide constructive feedback to trainees.

Qualifications & Experience:

Mandatory:

• Minimum of
  3-5 years of professional experience
  in full-stack JavaScript development.
• Proven expertise
  in the core technologies of the certificate:
• Front-End:
  HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), React (Components, Props, State, Hooks, Router)
• Back-End:
  , , RESTful API design
• Database:
  NoSQL (MongoDB or similar)
• Development Tools:
  Git, GitHub, npm
• Prior experience in
  teaching, training, mentoring
  , or conducting technical workshops.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.

Highly Desirable:

• Experience with the specific tools mentioned in the course:
  Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Istio.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices
  and
  CI/CD pipelines
  .
• Experience with
  cloud platforms
  (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with
  Agile/Scrum
  methodologies.
• Prior experience as a facilitator for blended learning or bootcamp-style programs.

Contractual Details:

• Term:
  This is a short-term contractual role for the duration of the program, with a
  minimum commitment of 3 months
  .
• Schedule:
  On-campus presence is required for classes scheduled between
  6:00 PM and 9:00 PM
  on specific days of the week (to be determined).
• Remuneration:
  A competitive fixed contract fee will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
