Job Description:

  • Verify each patient's identification according to Lab test requisition slip and check patient's status through verbal questioning to ensure that patient fulfills the test requirements for collection of correct samples on a daily basis.
  • Perform accurate and gentle vein puncture procedures to collect blood, inject the same into the specific container according to test requirements on a daily basis to provide quality service.
  • Label each patient's sample container immediately after collection of specimen according to the laboratory protocol to avoid mix-up of specimen as and when assigned for phlebotomy service.
