Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper

Aspire Accounts is seeking a
detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper
to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build or expand their career in accounting and finance within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and record invoices, payments, and expenses
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Manage and update the Fixed Asset Register
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations
  • Assist with year-end accounts preparation
  • Understand and apply UK Taxation, VAT, Payroll and CIS regulations

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in bookkeeping
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles
  • Familiarity with accounting software, especially
    Xero
  • Ability to manage multiple clients at once effectively
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
