Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Online + Clio)

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of bookkeeping functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with proven expertise in both CLIO and QuickBooks Online, capable of supporting our financial operations with efficiency and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records within CLIO and QuickBooks Online, ensuring seamless integration between the two systems.
- Process client invoices, track payments, and manage collections within CLIO.
- Reconcile trust and operating bank accounts, ensuring compliance with legal and firm standards.
- Prepare and process vendor payments, expense reports, and credit card reconciliations.
- Generate routine financial reports, such as profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy of matter-level profitability tracking in CLIO.
- Collaborate with attorneys and management to provide clear financial insights and support budgeting processes.
- Maintain and organize digital financial files and records.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Hands-on, daily proficiency with both CLIO Manage and QuickBooks Online is required.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and bookkeeping best practices.
- Proven experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with a commitment to data integrity.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a legal or professional services environment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with other legal software integrations is a plus.
