Qualification:

  • Pharm-D

Experience:

  • One year of experience in hospital pharmacy is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely delivery of medication to the nursing units or patient.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the label before dispensing for right patient, right drug and right quantity.
  • Contact the physician for inaccuracy in prescription order, proper documentation & communication of it to the nursing & pharmacy staff.
  • Maintain adequate inventory stocks and suggest changes in the par level.
  • Implement and comply with department policies and procedures.
  • Keep the pharmacy equipment (printers, furniture, and timer) in working order.
  • Monitor and minimize drug shortage in pharmacy.
  • Provide drug and poison information to medical & Para medical staff. (Inpatient pharmacist).
  • Unit dose auto refill batch running/ timely delivery. (inpatient pharmacist)
  • Dispensing of controlled drugs. Narcotics (inpatient pharmacist)
  • Monthly floor stock inspection for proper storage of drugs.
  • Monitoring of floor stock slips, dispensing & charging accurately.
  • Extemporaneous compounding, booking and conveying to Purchase or rider, driver and ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide training to trainee pharmacists.
  • Accurate and timely completion of expiry drug list.
  • Patient counseling for Out Patient prescription. ( Associates , and corporate Patients )
  • Maintains prescription records of Associates patient.
  • May assist in training students and technicians.
  • Timely deposit of Cash to finance and reimburse the petty cash.
  • Do critical inventory on daily basis and monitor the critical items.
  • Any other responsibilities assigned by HOD/ Higher Management.
