About OpenDrawing

OpenDrawing is building construction cost estimating software that will change the way our world is built. We're automating one of the most complex, manual parts of the construction process — and that means building software that's reliable, fast, and user-friendly.

We're looking for a 
Software Test Engineer

to join our Lahore office full-time. You'll work closely with our backend, frontend, and AI teams to ensure our product is robust, scalable, and bug-free as we grow.

What You'll Do

  • Design and execute comprehensive test cases for new and existing features.
  • Build and maintain automated test suites (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium).
  • Identify, report, and track bugs using our issue tracking system.
  • Collaborate with developers to understand system architecture and user requirements.
  • Perform manual exploratory testing where automation isn't yet in place.
  • Ensure backend APIs (Python/Flask) and frontend features (React) work seamlessly.
  • Help improve our CI/CD pipeline by integrating automated tests.
  • Report directly to the CTO and work closely with all product teams.

Who We're Looking For

  • Junior to mid-level QA/Test Engineer based in Lahore.
  • Experience testing web applications (manual + automated).
  • Comfortable testing REST APIs and React UIs.
  • Familiar with tools like Postman, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical testing mindset.
  • Quick learner who enjoys solving problems and improving processes.
  • Excited about the challenges and growth of a startup.
