Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer-Azure

Location: Islamabad

Experience Required: 5 Years

We are a forward-thinking company specializing in innovative digital solutions, and are currently seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with strong Azure expertise and a proven track record in automating infrastructure and managing enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines. The role focuses on enabling secure, scalable, and compliant Azure deployments using modern DevOps practices and Git-based workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, with integrations into Azure for seamless infrastructure and application delivery.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, aligned with modular architecture patterns and version control best practices.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineers and solution architects to provision and monitor Azure infrastructure across multiple environments.
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues across complex Azure services, ensuring high availability and resilience.
  • Implement automated quality gates, deployment strategies, and rollback mechanisms as part of GitLab CI pipelines.
  • Integrate monitoring, alerting, and logging into delivery workflows for production-grade visibility.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, helping evolve platform design with an automation-first mindset.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience, with a focus on Microsoft Azure. Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
  • Deep knowledge of Terraform for Azure infrastructure provisioning.
  • Familiarity with Azure services specifically networking, storage, compute, identity, and integration components.
  • Knowledge and Hands on experience in Azure services including: Azure DevOps, Azure Identity, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Fabric, Azure Event Hub, Azure Databricks, RBAC, Azure Storage Account, Azure Batch Account, Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Registry, Azure Container Apps, Azure Function App.
  • Solid grasp of Azure security principles including RBAC, key vault, private endpoints, managed identities, and DNS integration.
  • Ability to work within structured compliance/governance environments, including resource policies and access control.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in projects requiring secure hybrid connectivity, private DNS, or restricted access models.
  • Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation tasks. Knowledge of state management, secret handling, and environment isolation within GitLab pipelines.
