South Asia Research Institute for Minorities (SARIM) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting the rights of minorities in South Asia. Our team includes researchers, field experts, and advocates committed to raising awareness of the issues faced by marginalized communities in the region. Our mission is to uphold minority rights, highlight victimization, and encourage collaborative discussion. We achieve our goals through initiatives like maintaining a database, publishing annual reports, and organizing international conferences and webinars.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Researcher located in Karāchi. The Associate Researcher will be responsible for conducting research on minority issues, analyzing data, contributing to reports and publications, and participating in conferences and seminars. The role also involves collaborating with team members to develop and execute research projects, and staying updated on current issues affecting minorities in South Asia. Minority communities are encouraged to apply for the job.

Qualifications

  • Research skills, Data Analysis, and Report Writing
  • Knowledge of minority issues and human rights
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in organizing conferences and seminars
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Human Rights, or related field
  • Experience in the non-governmental sector is a plus
  • Fluency in English and local languages
