Job Title: Cost Accountant (Mid-Level)

Role Overview:

LEDFlex Group was established in 2010 after identifying a gap in the market for a more comprehensive range of linear lighting products and has now grown into a leading technology supplier. We design, develop and manufacture LED lighting solutions for the UK and International markets. At LEDFlex we continue to lead the way in performance, efficiency and ecological friendly exterior and interior projects.

A Mid-Level Cost Accountant is responsible for analyzing, tracking, and controlling an organization's costs to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and profitability. They work closely with finance, operations, and management teams to provide insights that support budgeting, pricing, and strategic decision-making.

Roles and Responsibilities:

ERP Price Management & Monitoring:

• Ensure all product prices in Microsoft Dynamics ERP are accurate, up-to-date, and reflect company pricing strategy.
• Monitor and track price changes and new price entries in Microsoft Dynamics.
• Overview and verify new price updates or entries to ensure they follow internal procedures and business rules.

Profitability Analysis of Invoices & Inventory:

• Analyze invoice profitability by comparing cost prices, selling prices, and margins using the ERP system.
• Monitor and validate the cost price of inventory in Microsoft Dynamics to ensure accurate stock valuation.
• Assess cost vs. revenue to ensure margins are in line with business targets and profitability goals.

Price Structure Optimization:

• Ensure costing accuracy for all products, factoring in both direct and indirect costs in the ERP.
• Monitor and control discounting policies within Microsoft Dynamics to protect profit margins.

Continuous Monitoring of Pricing Trends:

• Track competitor pricing and market trends to ensure company prices remain competitive.
• Monitor supplier price changes and their impact on overall product costs and profitability.
• Perform regular audits of pricing updates in Microsoft Dynamics to ensure data integrity and compliance.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare profitability reports, margin reports, and price variance analysis using data from Microsoft Dynamics.
• Regularly assess product margins, sales profitability, and recommend adjustments where necessary.
• Maintain clear documentation of price changes in the ERP system for transparency and auditing purposes.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

• Work closely with Finance, Sales, Data and Operations to ensure pricing data is consistent across all departments.
• Coordinate with the Finance team for accurate accounting and tracking of pricing-related entries in Microsoft Dynamics.

Compliance and Best Practices:

• Ensure that all pricing decisions and processes comply with internal policies and relevant regulations.
• Maintain organized records of pricing approvals and changes within Microsoft Dynamics to ensure audit readiness.

Key Skills Required:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis.
• Ability to analyze and optimize product pricing using ERP data.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across departments.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in commerce (B. Com), Finance, or related field. A master's degree (M. Com, MBA) or CMA is a plus.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in cost accounting, pricing management, or related fields.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Dynamics ERP for pricing management, inventory tracking, and profitability analysis.
