Job Opportunity — Shift Engineer

Location: Sheikhupura road, Lahore

About the Role:

Descon Oxychem Limited is looking for a dynamic Shift Engineer to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our plant. This role plays a critical part in maintaining optimal production standards, ensuring EHS compliance, and driving continuous improvement in operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee smooth and safe plant operations during the shift, ensuring compliance with operating procedures and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate logging and reporting of operational data, incidents, and daily activities.
  • Coordinate with the Production Manager and other departments for seamless operations.
  • Lead emergency response efforts and conduct regular safety drills.
  • Ensure adherence to EHS and Quality Assurance procedures in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide shift instructions to DCS Supervisors and Field Operators, ensuring proper training and readiness.
  • Support Management of Change (MOC), Process Safety Management (PSM), and other operational improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in chemical plant operations, including at least 2-3 years as a Shift Engineer in H₂O₂ production.
  • Strong understanding of chemical plant operations, PFD & PID drawings, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
