Job Overview

At Algoryte, we are seeking a talented and creative Unity Game Developer to work on experiences built for mobile, iPad, VR/XR headsets and Web. You will be responsible for implementing game functionality and translating design ideas, concepts, and requirements into a functional and engaging game. Our ideal candidate will have 2-3+ years of experience in Unity Development technologies, strong programming and coding skills, a keen eye for detail, and the analytical skills to identify potential issues with a design plan. Working across many different departments, this role requires a candidate with excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a good team ethic to unify a common vision.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and improve a variety of fast and efficient core software using Unity
  • Maintain and build code using C# for all assigned work streams
  • Help provide architectural oversight across the entire application
  • Implement architectures for games using C#
  • Collaborate to devise optimal engineering solutions to technical challenges
  • Collaboration with the design team for the game/experience assets for the desired quality of experience
  • Implementing game functionality
  • Implement game functionality during the Agile-Scrum sprints.
  • Transforming design ideas into functional games
  • Designing and building game codes
  • Identifying and fixing code errors and game bottlenecks
  • Testing game functionality and theme dynamics
  • Optimize builds to be able to run on target platforms smoothly
  • Designing and building game patches and upgrades
  • Should be able to do User Testing
  • Ensuring products conform to high industry standards and adhering to best practices while maintaining code quality.
  • Debugging, troubleshooting and bug-fixing.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Unity Developer.
  • In-depth knowledge of Unity editor.
  • Knowledge of 3D development and integrated game physics.
  • Experience with WebGL on Unity
  • Experience in Photon multiplayer Engine or any other multiplayer engine.
  • Experience with console and mobile game development.
  • Experience with game, memory, and space optimization techniques in the Unity game engine.
  • Experience with API calls and handling data in JSON for games from a remote server.
  • Knowledge of scripting, animation, and textures.
  • Should be well-versed with Design Patterns apart from the Singleton and Object-Pooling
  • Good troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Sound knowledge in C, C++, JS, and C#.
  • Good communication skills.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with VR with Meta Quest 2 or 3
  • Experience with Deploying WebGL Builds
  • Experience with Web3 technologies in game development.
  • Experience with a variety of game development architectures
  • Experience with Profiler in the Unity game engine
  • Idea of Web3 game development
