Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our fast-paced software house. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automated testing, with a focus on building and maintaining robust automation frameworks. You will be a key player in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products before they reach our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning & Execution:
     Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand project requirements, define test strategies, and create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Manual Testing:
     Conduct thorough manual testing of new features, bug fixes, and regression suites to identify defects and ensure high-quality software.
  • Automation Development:
     Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing using industry-standard tools and programming languages.
  • Bug Reporting:
     Accurately document, track, and manage software defects using a bug-tracking system (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps), and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement:
     Participate in continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies, including test automation, CI/CD integration, and performance testing.
  • Regression Management:
     Manage and execute automated regression test suites to validate new builds and prevent regressions.
  • Collaboration:
     Actively participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and communicate quality risks and status to the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within a fast-paced development environment.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks.

Key Skills:

  • Programming Languages:
     Strong proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language for test automation preferably Python
  • Test Automation Tools:
     Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or TestNG.
  • API Testing:
     Solid experience with API testing using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.
  • Test Management:
     Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail or Zephyr.
  • Databases:
     Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation and data manipulation.
  • Methodologies:
     Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Soft Skills:
     Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
