Job Description

SmartB Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Oracle Software Developer (Database 19c) to join our growing tech team. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about database technologies, enterprise-grade application development, and building scalable backend solutions that drive business transformation.

As a core member of our development team, you'll collaborate closely with product managers, system architects, and engineers to design, optimize, and deploy database systems that power real-world business applications.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL stored procedures, triggers, functions, and packages in Oracle Database 19c.
• Build and optimize database-driven applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design data models, define schema structures, and implement ETL processes.
• Develop and manage APIs and integrations between Oracle databases and external systems.
• Monitor and fine-tune database performance, indexing, and query optimization.
• Implement and manage database security, backup, recovery, and version control.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and deployment planning.
• Maintain well-documented, reusable, and high-quality database code.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–8 years of professional experience in Oracle software or database development.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Database 19c (or later) and PL/SQL programming.
• Solid understanding of database design, normalization, and optimization.
• Experience in data migration, ETL, and API integrations.
• Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager, RMAN, and Data Pump.
• Good grasp of version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud-based databases (Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, Azure) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Oracle APEX, Oracle Forms/Reports, or E-Business Suite.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments.
• Experience with SaaS or enterprise-level data systems.
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
