We are a UK-based technology company seeking a Trainee Software Developer to join our team on a remote, subcontractor basis. This role is ideal for a motivated individual based in Pakistan who is eager to build a career in software development. You will work closely with our UK team, gaining hands-on experience with real-world projects, modern tools, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of web and software applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Collaborate with team members via online communication tools.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications as instructed.
  • Participate in regular code reviews and training sessions.
  • Follow company coding standards, security practices, and project workflows.
  • Contribute to technical documentation where required.

RequirementsEssential

  • Bachelor's degree (completed or ongoing) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of one or more programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or PHP).
  • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript).
  • Understanding of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently.
  • Good written and spoken English skills for communication with UK team members.

Desirable

  • Experience with Git or version control systems.
  • Exposure to frameworks such as React, Angular, , or Django.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Previous internship, freelance, or project-based software development experience.
