We are seeking a Backend AI Engineer with around 1 year of experience to help build and maintain AI-powered backend systems. The role focuses on developing APIs, deploying AI models, and ensuring reliable backend services using Django, FastAPI, and AWS. You will collaborate with data scientists and frontend engineers to deliver scalable, production-ready AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services using
    Django
    and
    FastAPI
    .
  • Develop and expose
    RESTful/GraphQL APIs
    for AI/ML features.
  • Deploy and manage AI models in production on
    AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, or SageMaker)
    .
  • Optimize backend systems for scalability, performance, and security.
  • Work with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using Docker and AWS services.
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate models into backend infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or related field.
  • ~1 year of experience as a Backend Engineer or AI Engineer.
  • Proficiency in
    Python
    , with strong experience in
    Django
    and
    FastAPI
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    AWS services
    (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, or SageMaker).
  • Familiarity with
    Docker
    and containerized deployments.
  • Solid understanding of
    APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures
    .
  • Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and caching systems (Redis).
  • Experience with Git and basic CI/CD pipelines.
