Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented AppFolio Expert to join our team. This role requires an individual with strong expertise in property management software, particularly AppFolio, to support client needs, manage tenant requests, and ensure accurate financial records. The successful candidate will work directly with clients and tenants, processing repair requests, preparing tenant ledgers, and generating financial statements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for property management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Communication & Tenant Management:
  • Handle all client communication, including emails to tenants and understanding the terms and conditions of tenant leases.
  • Manage tenant requests for repairs, ensuring timely and efficient resolutions.
  • Act as a liaison between the client and tenants, coordinating issues and facilitating prompt solutions.
  • AppFolio Management:
  • Utilize AppFolio to manage property-related data and generate reports.
  • Prepare detailed tenant ledgers and address any discrepancies in collaboration with tenants and clients.
  • Provide consistent and accurate updates on financial data and property management status.
  • Financial Statement Preparation:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements using AppFolio.
  • Ensure all financial records, including rent payments and expenses, are accurately tracked and reconciled.
  • Coordination & Support:
  • Coordinate directly with clients to resolve any issues related to tenant management, maintenance requests, and financial reporting.
  • Offer ongoing support and guidance to clients on the use of AppFolio software for streamlined property management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with AppFolio software in property management.
  • Strong understanding of tenant leases and property management processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and tenants.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in financial statement preparation and basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in property management or real estate management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other property management tools.
