About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled
Java Backend Developer
with deep expertise in
Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, AWS, and Kafka
to join our growing team. You will play a critical role in architecting and building
scalable, cloud-native backend systems
for an enterprise-grade platform powering
order booking, inventory management, sales, and merchandising operations
.

This is a hands-on role that demands both strong coding skills and the ability to design systems capable of handling
high-volume transactions (100,000+ per day)
with reliability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Build Microservices
    using Java (J2EE) and Spring Boot within a modular, scalable architecture.
  • Develop RESTful APIs
    to power mobile/web apps and enable seamless service-to-service communication.
  • Integrate AWS Services
    (EC2, RDS, S3, Cognito, IAM, MSK/Kafka) into backend systems for performance and scalability.
  • Database Design & Optimization
    : Write efficient queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies to handle large-scale transactional workloads.
  • Work with Kafka
    for event-driven communication and near real-time processing of master and transactional data.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally
    with frontend developers, QA, DevOps, and product owners to deliver high-quality features.
  • CI/CD & Containerization
    : Build and deploy services using Docker, Jenkins, and Git in an Agile environment.
  • Troubleshoot & Optimize
    production systems for performance, reliability, and fault tolerance.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years
    of backend development experience with Java (J2EE).
  • Strong command of
    Spring Boot
    and microservices architecture.
  • Proven expertise in
    RESTful API design
    and integration.
  • Hands-on with
    AWS Services
    (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, Cognito, etc.).
  • Solid experience with
    Kafka
    (MSK or self-managed).
  • Database mastery
    : indexing, query optimization, stored procedures, partitioning, and scaling strategies to support 100k+ daily transactions.
  • Proficient in
    Docker, Jenkins, Git
    , and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with
    ERP integration

  • Knowledge of
    Spring Cloud Gateway, OAuth2/JWT authentication
    .
  • Exposure to
    field sales, FMCG, or merchandising platforms
    .
