Job Description

The HVAC technician is responsible for operation, monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing substation HVAC systems to company standards.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Apply skills and knowledge to ensure target production throughput rate or objectives are safely achieved in line with Section Plan, KPIs, Values, and JMS system.
  2. Demonstrate work behaviors consistent with company values and work within policies, standards, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  3. Adhere to health, safety, security, and environmental policies, procedures, instructions, and controls for safety.
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in operation and maintenance of HVAC equipment inside the substation.
  5. Ensure compliance with quality management procedures to deliver high-quality services and products.
  6. Assist Supervisor and Engineer in preparing Root Cause Analysis Reports.
  7. Identify defective components and communicate this to Supervisor and Engineer.
  8. Assist in commissioning of new equipment or re-commissioning of repaired equipment.
  9. Read technical drawings, work orders, and maintenance schedules to determine instructions and specifications.
  10. Ensure jobs are carried out as per schedule and maintenance job cards.
  11. Use materials economically.
  12. Perform work safely and utilize safety equipment properly.
  13. Follow yard safety rules and regulations.
  14. Maintain quality and quantity of work.
  15. Maintain tools and equipment.
  16. Maintain housekeeping standards.
  17. Follow instructions from superiors and carry out tasks safely and efficiently.
  18. Report safety lapses and follow all safety procedures.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.
  20. Prioritize wellbeing of self and colleagues, adhere to health & safety protocols, participate in wellness programs, and report concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

Diploma in HVAC

Experience:

6 years of relevant experience in operation, testing, and maintenance of substation HVAC equipment. Knowledge of fault finding and techniques.
