Supply Chain - Import Specialist - For Ghana

The Import Specialist will be responsible for managing the import process, including stock planning, order placement, shipment coordination, documentation, and clearance procedures.

  1. Maintain stock planning by monitoring stock aging, avoiding overstocking, and managing minimum order quantities (MOQ).
  2. Place orders with suppliers, with 90% of transactions involving imports.
  3. Coordinate shipment management with freight forwarders and shipping lines.
  4. Prepare all necessary import documentation.
  5. Liaise with local clearing agents to ensure smooth shipment clearance.
  6. Handle product costing and pricing calculations.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of import documents, procedures, and lead time management for shipments.
