JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer (.NET, Xamarin)

DEPARTMENT: Software Development

REPORTS TO: Project Director

PURPOSE:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining cross-platform mobile applications using .NET 8.0 or .NET MAUI. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in both front-end and back-end development, capable of working across a variety of .NET environments including mobile (iOS/Android), web, and desktop applications. If you're passionate about building scalable, secure, and high-performance systems and enjoy working in a dynamic, collaborative environment—this role is for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mobile Application Development:

Design and develop cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android using .NET 8.0 or .NET MAUI. Ensure applications are performant, responsive, and user-friendly.

Full Stack Development:

(Optional but preferred) Work on full-stack applications using .NET 8.0+ and Angular, integrating RESTful APIs to create seamless user experiences.

API Development & Integration:

Build and integrate robust, scalable, and secure REST APIs. Ensure APIs meet industry best practices for security and performance.

Database Design & Integration:

Utilize Entity Framework Core (EF Core) to design and interact with SQL-based databases. Ensure data integrity and performance through optimized queries and schema design.

Best Practices & Code Quality:

Write clean, efficient, and testable code using modern software design principles and patterns. Conduct and participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, QA Engineers, and DevOps, to deliver features from design to deployment.

Troubleshooting & Optimization:

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues across the entire application stack.

Architecture & DevOps Support:

Contribute to architectural discussions and CI/CD pipeline enhancements. Utilize Docker and cloud services (Azure, AWS, or GCP) where needed.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in .NET-based development, including .NET 8.0 or .NET MAUI.

  • Experience with Xamarin.Android and Xamarin.iOS.

  • Proficient in EF Core and SQL databases.

  • Solid understanding of Git version control systems.

  • Familiarity with Docker containers and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience working with REST APIs and ASP.NET Core.

  • Exposure to Angular or other front-end frameworks is a plus.

  • Familiarity with cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
