Job Description

Position Title: Technical Recruiter

Timings: 04:00pm - 1:00am

Department: HR Department

Requirements

End-to-End Recruitment:

  1. Manage the full lifecycle of recruitment for developer roles from sourcing to placement.
  2. Develop job descriptions and hiring criteria in collaboration with hiring managers.
  3. Identify and engage potential candidates through various sourcing methods such as LinkedIn, job boards, social media, networking, and industry events.

Screening & Interviewing:

  1. Screen resumes and applications to shortlist candidates who meet the technical and cultural fit.
  2. Conduct initial interviews (phone/video) to assess candidates' technical skills, experience, and motivations.
  3. Coordinate and schedule technical interviews with development teams.

Technical Assessment:

  1. Understand the technical requirements for developer roles and partner with technical teams to create relevant coding challenges or technical tests.
  2. Evaluate candidates' technical skills and collaborate with engineering teams to review candidate performance on technical assessments.

Candidate Experience:

  1. Ensure a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  2. Provide regular updates to candidates on the status of their application.
  3. Negotiate job offers, compensation packages, and close candidates effectively.

Talent Pool Development:

  1. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of developer talent for current and future hiring needs.
  2. Create and implement creative sourcing strategies to attract diverse candidates.
  3. Engage with potential candidates proactively through online forums, hackathons, meetups, and developer communities.
  4. Stay informed about the latest trends in the tech industry and recruitment.
  5. Track key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, candidate satisfaction) and report on performance.
  6. Analyze market trends and competitors to ensure the company's offerings remain competitive.

Collaboration with Hiring Managers:

  1. Regularly meet with hiring managers and technical teams to understand hiring needs and update on the status of recruitment efforts.
  2. Provide guidance to hiring managers on best practices for interviewing and candidate evaluation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Experience: 2-3 years of experience in IT recruitment, specifically hiring software developers and technical professionals.
  2. Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and common programming languages.
  3. Recruitment Expertise: Strong sourcing capabilities through various channels such as LinkedIn, GitHub, StackOverflow, and job boards.
  4. Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) like Greenhouse, Lever, or similar tools.
  5. Knowledge of interview techniques, candidate assessments, and offer negotiation.
  6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  8. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers alike.
  9. Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
  10. High level of organization and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  11. Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Familiarity with technical assessment tools like Codility, HackerRank, or LeetCode.
  3. Experience recruiting for both permanent and contract developer roles.
